As a single mother to a lively two-year-old, I rely on my 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan for every part of our daily routine. This past month has been especially difficult—my father passed
away, and my minivan broke down on the way back from Sacramento after picking up his ashes and the last of his belongings. The transmission failed, and the cost to repair it is more than I can manage alone. Without my vehicle, I’m unable to take my child to daycare, get to my job as a behavioral therapist for children and adults with autism, or attend my classes when I start school in two weeks. My work is not just a job—it’s a way I support my family and help others in my community, traveling to clients’ homes to provide care and support.
I also depend on my minivan to get to church, buy groceries, and make sure my home has the necessities we need. Right now, I’m handling everything on my own, with no family or friends nearby who can help. The loss of my minivan has made it nearly impossible to keep up with work, school, child care, and daily essentials. Fixing my vehicle would mean I can maintain my routine, continue supporting my child, and keep working toward my goals as a mother and professional.
Any support will help me get back on the road, provide stability for my child, and continue making a difference for the families I serve. Thank you for considering a donation to help us through this challenging time.
