Their Story
Abel and Christa Muanica have been faithfully serving on the mission field in Africa for many years, first in Mozambique and then in Kenya. After founding Nurmay Christian Academy (NCA) in Gotani Kenya in 2016, they have had the privilege of being spiritual “parents” to hundreds of students as God continued to bless their ministry. After Abel’s brother passed away in 2021, his two young daughters, Yasmine (now 8) and Allana (now 6) came to live with Abel and Christa in Gotani. It didn’t take long for the girls to seamlessly blend in to their new home and school community. They have quickly learned to speak English and are excelling in their academic studies at NCA.
After having legal guardianship of the girls for about 2 years, Christa and Abel are thrilled to report that the adoption of both girls has been approved by the court in Mozambique!
The next step is to make a trip to Mozambique as a family to get all the adoption documents as well as the girls' new passports and other needed paperwork. They would like to make the trip as soon as possible while the girls are on a break from school.
How You Can Help
Abel and Christa are humbly asking for your support in one or more of the following ways: making a donation as you feel led, sharing their story with your family and friends, and keeping them in your prayers. Over the years, they have repeatedly seen how God mightily uses His people to provide for their needs and advance His Kingdom. Thank you for your kindness in being part of their adoption journey! They can't wait to see how God moves in this next chapter of their lives, and they are excited to share it with all of you!
