My name is Abdulrahman Al-Anqar, a 23-

year-old young man from Gaza.

I never imagined that my life would turn into this nightmare. I used to live a simple life — I had a home, I was studying at university, and I was working to build my future like any other young person. But the war changed everything.

In northern Gaza, I lived through days that cannot be described. I witnessed countless painful and heartbreaking scenes, and I narrowly escaped death many times. Life became a constant struggle to flee from danger and search for food among the rubble of destroyed homes.

My home was completely destroyed. I lost my university and my job, and my family was torn apart. While my family was forced to flee to the south, I remained in the north, facing hunger and fear alone, moving from place to place just trying to survive.

Our street was once full of life and people. Today empty… nothing remains but destruction.

I survived death multiple times. In one instance, I was injured by a missile while I was inside a previously destroyed house. Despite everything, I am still holding on to life and hope.

Today, after two and a half years of unemployment and suffering, I am trying to start over. I am working on improving myself and holding on to my dreams despite everything.

My dream is simple:

To travel abroad with my mother, sister, and my wife, so we can start a safe life, continue my education, and rebuild my future.

But I cannot achieve this dream alone.
