Help Aaron with legal fees and unjust charges!

On Friday June 10th our friend and brother Aaron was arrested in Ulster County by NY State Police. He is being charged for several psychedelics, including LSD, MDMA, ketamine and psilocybin. His vehicle was impounded, and now he's facing severe charges on top of legal fees.
You may know Aaron through his years of work with Decriminalize Nature New York, the Hudson Valley Psychedelic Society, and Darkhei Rephua—the Jewish entheogenic nonprofit he founded. Aaron has been advocating for cannabis, psychedelic, and drug policy reform for over 15 years, and has hosted/produced many community events in NYC and upstate over the years, in addition to his tireless outreach, advocacy, and media efforts on platforms like High Times, Lucid News, Chacruna, and the Jewish Psychedelic Summit.
Ironically, the psychedelics Aaron is being charged with are either legal in clinical settings, scientifically proven to be beneficial medicines, decriminalized in some places, or on the brink of legalization.
We currently are raising funds to help Aaron recover his car and get on the road again, and to cover initial expenses while we assess the charges filed and what legal fees are expected to be.
We’ll update the details and dollar amount of the GoFundMe as more details and costs become clear. For now we’re hoping you can contribute to help keep Aaron active in his work with Darkhei Rephua, Hudson Valley Psychedelic Society, and Decriminalize Nature NY(C).
6/23 Update: We've identified a lawyer that we hope to retain next Monday, and will update the amount again when we have a more exact figure. Thank you all for your support so far!
6/28 Update: We've met with and are retaining Andrew Kossover of Kossover Law in New Paltz, NY. Andrew is a very accomplished, award-winning, and successful attorney who's work has included leadership in Bail Reform, Discovery Reform, and reform of the draconian Rockefeller Drug Laws . We're exploring best strategies and will keep everyone updated.
