Hi my name is Quynh (Jessica), and I am part of their extended family. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Aaron, Jaymie and their mum Nikki during an incredibly heartbreaking time for their family.

In just under two weeks, Aaron and Jaymie’s world changed forever.

Their dad was admitted to hospital unexpectedly and what followed was something no family could have prepared for. He spent most of his short hospital stay on life support, with doctors only discovering an undiagnosed cancer at the very end. Before this, he had been in and out of hospital searching for answers, but was sent home without anyone realising how serious things truly were.

There was no warning. No time to process. No chance to prepare.

His passing was sudden and devastating. The family went from hoping for recovery to planning a funeral in a matter of days. Because everything happened so quickly, there was no opportunity to organise support beforehand.

Aaron and Jaymie’s mum, Nikki, had been separated from Thanh for some time, but when he became sick she was there to support him. Together, they always put their children first and continued to co parent with love and respect.

Now, without him, Nikki has stepped in to carry what feels like the impossible.

Determined not to have the children lose the home their dad lived in, she has moved into the house so Aaron and Jaymie can remain in familiar surroundings during this incredibly painful time. The house requires repairs, and Nikki is doing what she can herself while navigating the enormous weight of moving, grieving, supporting her children and trying to make sense of this new and unexpected chapter of life.

In the space of days, she has gone from co parenting alongside their dad to carrying the responsibilities of both mother and father.

The funeral has now been arranged, but the financial impact is far from over.

Beyond the funeral expenses, there are ongoing bills, home repairs and the many unexpected costs that arise when a family loses a parent. The coming months will bring financial pressure at a time when this family should only have to focus on healing.

We are asking for help to ease the burden on Aaron, Jaymie and Nikki during this incredibly painful time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go towards:
