Help Aaron & Geo Rebuild After Losing Everything in the Oklahoma Wildfires
On Friday, March 14th, our beloved brother Aaron and his 15-year-old son, Geo, lost their home in the devastating wildfires that tore through Guthrie, Oklahoma. In a matter of minutes, everything they owned was reduced to ashes—leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs and their loyal emotional support dog, Smokey.
This tragedy is just the latest heartbreak in their journey. Nearly ten years ago, Aaron and Geo lost the most important person in their lives—Geo’s mom, Aaron’s love—to cervical cancer. Aaron did everything he could to build a safe and loving home for his son after that unimaginable loss. But now, that home is gone, reduced to nothing but a few remnants of trailer skirting where it once stood.
To make matters even more difficult, Aaron has been completely disabled for years due to severe health issues beyond his control. His only income is a small disability check, which barely covered their needs before this tragedy. Without renters’ insurance, they have no safety net to rebuild.
Geo, a freshman in high school, has already endured so much loss in his short 15 years. First, losing his mom. Now, losing the only home he’s truly ever known. Yet despite everything, he and his dad are holding on to hope.
They need us now more than ever.
Please consider donating to help Aaron and Geo start over. Every dollar will help them find shelter, replace essentials, and begin to rebuild their lives. If you’re unable to give, please share their story—your support, in any form, means the world to them.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
