Help a Young Neighbor Rebuild

Hi Everyone,

This is the People's Town Hall. We are a neighbor-to-neighbor organizing group in Cicero. We do not work for or are associated with the town of Cicero- but we do push to make them accountable.

Today we are centering a young person who requested they stay anonymous- but share part of there story. Story updated: September 28 2024 at the request of the young person.

I am a young person who got evicted forcefully after ending a relationship where domestic violence was happening. As a result, I got locked out of my stuff like my shoes, jackets, phone, wallet and more. I lost my job in this process. I need support for getting glasses, ventra passes to apply to places to work, getting clothes for the winter. Anything would help.
