Hello, my name is Latesha.

I am creating this GoFundMe to support an extraordinary and resilient 18‑year‑old who recently experienced the sudden loss of his mother in the summer of 2025. He is my son’s best friend, and his mother was not only his primary provider but also his greatest source of encouragement.

Despite this heartbreaking loss, he graduated from Huguenot High School in Richmond, VA in May 2025 and was accepted to college. Unfortunately, he had to delay his enrollment due to the unexpected passing of his mother. He will now begin his college journey in Ohio in January 2026.

This young man is strong, determined, and compassionate, even after enduring such a difficult year. As he prepares to start this new chapter as a full‑time student living out of state, I want to ease his transition and help set him up for success.
