Help a Young Family Fight Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Life can change in an instant. My name is Krystal, and I’m shaving my hair on 27th Jan - to help raise funds for an amazing family I’m lucky to call my friends.

Alexandra is a 31-year-old wife and mum to two beautiful daughters, aged 3 and 5. Her husband runs a small business, and they were in the middle of planning to grow their family when everything changed.

It all started when Alex discovered two small, pea-sized lumps in her breast. With no family history of breast cancer and being so young, she thought it couldn’t be serious. But after a doctor’s visit, scans, and a biopsy, Alex received devastating news in late October 2024: the lumps were cancerous.

Further tests revealed an aggressive form of breast cancer called triple-positive breast cancer, which had already spread to the lymph nodes under her arm.

The urgency of Alex’s diagnosis meant her treatment had to start within two weeks of receiving the news which is intense and overwhelming

Within weeks of starting chemo, Alex lost her hair and has already faced multiple hospital stays over Christmas due to complications like neutropenia. Despite the immense toll on her body and mind, Alex continues to care for her young daughters and juggle countless medical appointments.

With family living in different states and only able to visit occasionally, their local support system is limited.

Alex and her husband are some of the kindest people you could ever meet—always willing to help others at the drop of a hat. They would never openly ask for help themselves, but the challenges they are facing now are immense.

Alex’s husband has taken on multiple roles—supporting her, caring for their girls, and keeping the business running. On top of this, the business employs five others, meaning he’s not only fighting for his family but also ensuring the livelihoods of his staff. The financial and emotional strain is enormous.

I want Alex and her family to focus on what truly matters—her recovery and maintaining stability for their beautiful girls.

Your support—whether through a donation, sharing this story, or spreading the word—means everything to this family. Every bit of help lightens their load and gives them hope for easier days ahead. Your generosity will make a real difference in their fight.
