I never thought I would be in this position, but I’m asking for help for my children.

Hi, my name is Ceona, and I’m a mother of three doing everything I can to create a stable life for my kids.

Since April 2024, we’ve been without a permanent home—staying in hotels, other people’s homes, and, at times, even in our car. Through it all, I have continued to work and maintain a stable job, doing everything in my power to provide and keep my children safe.

The hardest part hasn’t been finding a place—it’s been getting past the upfront costs. Because of an eviction on my credit, I’ve been asked for $6,000 or more just to move into an apartment. At the same time, I’ve been paying for hotels just to make sure my kids have a place to sleep. Trying to handle both has made it nearly impossible to get ahead.

But I didn’t give up.

After continuing to search, I found a small fixer-upper home that would finally give my children stability. It’s not perfect, but it would be ours—a place where my kids can feel safe, have consistency, and just be kids again.

To move forward, I need:

• $5,000 down payment

• $1,850 for the first month

This is the only thing standing between us and having a place to truly call home.

I am working. I am trying. I have been pushing through one of the hardest times in my life and I have not stopped.

I’m not asking for a handout—I’m asking for a chance to give my children a stable home.
