Help a Vietnam veteran with a financial setback

Hi, my name is Nesbitt and I am here to advocate for Robert Goode and to ask for his friends, family and other members of our communities to assist him in his time of need.

Although I don’t know Robert personally and I’m not a member of one of the Hepatitis C groups that he mediates on Facebook, I know of him because my wife is also a member of this group. She has known him for about nine years and converses with him, along with many others, almost daily. I know a great deal about Robert, his love for his wife who passed away years ago and his love for his two dogs. Robert is the type of person who cares deeply about others and has helped others throughout the years. He’s the type of guy who puts others first, before himself.

My wife and the others within the group realized that they hadn’t heard from Robert for a short while and were happy to hear from him earlier today. It was then that they discovered Robert had his cellphone stolen and was unable to reach out for help until someone loaned him the use of their cellphone.

We discovered that in addition to having his cellphone stolen, Robert has fallen behind in his lot payments for a couple of months. He has paid for May and has been paying extra money each month to catch up on past due obligations.

We are trying to help Robert to obtain enough money to fully pay off his past due lot and utility obligations. We hope to help him get a new phone and believe the remaining money can be used to further improve his financial situation and alleviate his fear of losing his dogs if he were to lose his home.

As a veteran who has been helped by many throughout my life I’m asking for everyone’s help to help Robert through this trying time.
