My husband's cousin, Robert "Fuzzy" Gill, is a Vietnam Veteran who has always shown strength and resilience, but yesterday he faced a devastating tragedy. While he was out getting groceries, his home was suddenly engulfed in flames. By the time he returned, everything he owned was lost to the fire. The shock and heartbreak of losing a lifetime of memories and possessions in a single afternoon is unimaginable.
Fuzzy has lost nearly everything, his clothing, personal belongings, and the place he called home. He is safe, and we are incredibly grateful for that, but he is starting over with very little. We are raising funds to help him with immediate essentials like clothing, toiletries, and medication. These funds will also go toward temporary housing and securing a more permanent living situation. This is not about rebuilding a house, it’s about helping a good man rebuild his life with dignity. As a Veteran, he has given so much to his country, and now he needs the support of his community to help him get back on his feet. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this would mean just as much.
You're helping a Veteran who just lost everything, and it means the world to him and to us that you choose to help him during this devastating period. Thank you, every little bit counts, your support truly goes a long way!
