Help Support a Vietnam Veteran Battling Lung Cancer & Heart Failure

We are reaching out to ask for your support for our beloved brother, uncle, and friend, a proud Vietnam Era Army veteran, who is now facing the fight of his life.

In February 2025, he was diagnosed with lung cancer and bravely underwent both chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Just as he was beginning to recover, he was hospitalized in April with a severe case of COVID-19, spending 7 days in the hospital. Since then, his health has continued to decline, and he has now been diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) and COPD.

He is currently hospitalized again, recently placed on a ventilator due to extremely low oxygen and to let his body rest. There is currently no clear path to if/when he will come home. The emotional and financial toll is mounting. He lives on a very limited, fixed income, and the medical setbacks have left him unable to keep up with basic living expenses.

This GoFundMe is to help him cover essential bills — including his home, car, utilities, and daily necessities — so that he doesn’t lose everything he’s worked so hard for during this incredibly difficult time.

After serving our country with honor, he now needs our help. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping him stay afloat while he focuses on what matters most: his health and healing.
