At 61 years old, this veteran is facing one of the biggest challenges of his life: replacing a failed septic system at the home he worked so hard to obtain.
After serving his country and spending years working toward home ownership, he was finally able to purchase a home within the last five years. Like many veterans, owning a home represents stability, independence, and the reward for a lifetime of hard work and sacrifice.
Now, that stability is at risk.
His septic system has failed and requires a complete replacement. The cost of a new system—including permits, excavation, materials, and installation—is far beyond what he can afford. A functioning septic system is essential for safe sanitation, and without it, remaining home becomes increasingly difficult.
We explored state assistance programs and other resources, hoping there would be support available. Unfortunately, despite his legitimate need, he does not qualify because he falls just short of the minimum age requirement—missing eligibility by only one year.
This situation has left him in a difficult position: facing a major home repair that cannot be postponed, with limited financial resources and no access to the assistance programs designed to help homeowners in similar circumstances.
We are asking for help from our community to raise funds for the replacement of his septic system so he can continue living safely in the home he fought so hard to get. Every contribution, regardless of size, will go directly toward restoring this essential service and helping a veteran maintain his independence.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and social networks. Your support, whether through a donation or a share, can make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for helping a veteran protect the home he worked so hard to obtain.
