Hi, my name is Carol Ward. I'm from Northern Kentucky. I know a lot of you don't know me, but when I see a family in need whether it be food, clothing or a place to stay I'm right there to help in anyway I can.  This right here is more than I can handle by myself.
I'm speaking on behalf of my very good friend of mine, Jared Bonvell,  Military Veteran, retired in 2014 and now lives here in Northern KY as well.  He needs help in bringing his daughter Sarah and her fiance' Derrick Montgomery to Cincinnati, OH to receive medical help from Children's Hospital.  She is pregnant with Twins,  6 1/2 months along,  both are girls, Baby #1 is Josie  and Baby #2 is Evelyn.

Josie right now has - TAPS & Anemia. TAPS is a rare condition that occurs when there are unequal blood counts between the twins in the womb. Unequal blood counts cause the twins to suffer from an imbalance in red blood cells and hemoglobin. This means one twin is not receiving the appropriate amount of oxygen and nutrients it needs to develop properly.

Evelyn has - Anencephaly (pronounced an-en-sef-uh-lee) is a serious birth defect in which a baby is born without parts of the brain and skull.

Arkansas University Hospital sent her to a specialist in Houston, TX for more testing. The twins are starting a thing called twin to twin transfusion. Usually the good baby takes everything but in this case Josie, the healthy baby, is giving everything to Evelyn. It's almost as if Josie knows her sister is not right so she is trying to help her.

Houston is ready to abort both babies and Sarah is still fighting for Josie's survival. She knows Evelyn won't make it. That in its self is devastating. 

Derrick, her Fiance',  has gone to every Doctor's appointment and has had to take time off when Sarah needed to go to the ER. Needless to say he doesn't get paid for all that time off. His boss is very understanding but his hands are tied. Her doctor in Arkansas and the doctor in Houston, TX agree she needs to come to Cincinnati Children's. They are much more advanced in the Medical industry and they have dealt with this kind of situation many times. So they will be coming to Cincinnati within the week in hopes of saving Josie. They can't afford to fly so they are driving.

They also have 4 kids at home so their finances are stretched very tightly. The kids will be staying with Grandparents in Arkansas durning this period so you can see the stress that's taking place with everyone involved. 
PLEASE Help me in helping this Veteran and his wife Jill, bring their daughter to Cincinnati for the Medical help she and her babies deserve!

All of this is happening right now. Sarah is only 24yrs old. She has a lot of hopes and dreams for her new family.

Any funds she gets will help with wages lost, transportation, lodging and medical expenses. Anything you can give will be very much appreciated by Sarah & Derrick. They need your help now.
