A message from Angel:

"Hello, my name is Angelvis, and I am currently in Bogotá, after having lived 7 years in Peru with my mom and 2 siblings because of the crisis in Venezuela.... This time I want to talk about the situation of my parents, My mother is currently in Peru and in recent years she has worked hard to get us ahead and my father is now in Venezuela and thanks to him we were able to go to Peru in 2018 to look for a "better quality of life."

Unfortunately, at the same time as my mother is struggling to feed my siblings in Peru, my father In Venezuela also just came to a very low and unstable point, and he needs my help. 2 years ago he had an accident where he almost completely lost his two legs, and he was able to operate on only one leg and in a week he has to operate on his other leg because he is running the risk of losing it... Not only is the operation expensive but it is in the coming week, and there is no one that can help him sustain himself after the operation. he needs me to come back to Venezuela to help him, and because of the instability of Venezuela now, I am hoping to raise enough money for him and I to escape back to Colombia together, and if not, at least for me to be able to return to Colombia and keep working, while being able to leave him with enough to sustain himself until he can work again. For this I am hoping to raise $1175 for this situation, $275 so I can finally pay of the fine that I need to pay in order to legally cross into Colombia, and the rest of the $900 for the operation, for while I am helping him and without a job for a couple weeks, and for my father alone after I leave.

Unfortunately, just as this operation came up, my mom is struggling more than every to support herself and my siblings. ever since my dad had that accident, things have been much more complicated for my mom because she no longer had anyone's support, and I could not help her... she has been subjected to full-time jobs for a long time just to cover the needs of the house. Just now my mother is getting out of a toxic relationship and is trying to bring my 2 younger siblings, Mathias and Greilismar, from Peru to Brazil in the coming months as she can no longer sustain herself in Lima and has been pushed to one of her last options. She was already very tired of always working for barely anything, she feels that she is stuck at the same point and wants to look for new opportunities. She is just waiting for my younger sister's graduation which is on January 26 and then leave regardless of the economic condition.

It hurts me so much because I went far from both of my parents to try to help them but this became much more difficult for me than I thought, I would like to help my mom For her to pay for buses and food for the three of them to arrive there safely would be about 200 dollars, but that is the bare minimum, so I am hoping we can give then more than just what is necessary to survive in these hard times, and I really can't achieve this without you. I would be eternally grateful and in truth thank you very much for having supported me when I also needed it. From Colombia and then my heart thank you for everything, even just for listening to my story."
