Hi, my name is Ashley. I'm a trans woman / artist that's been trying to find solid work for a long time and needs help staying sheltered during the job hunt.

Long story short how I got here, in early covid I took an opportunity to be a caretaker for somebody in exchange for rent. Unfortunately I could not take extra work outside of being a caretaker at the request of the person I was taking care of. As time went on I expressed concerns that I wouldn't have enough cash when they didn't need a caretaker. I was repeatedly told not to worry about that. And then it happened and I was left scrambling to find a new place to live.

I managed to find a new spot and solid employment relatively quickly but unfortunately became extremely ill to the point that I would be sent home from work, and then fired for taking too many sick days. The place I was staying at had an intense black mold problem, when the landlord was reached out to to fix this he evicted everyone saying simultaneously that there was no real black mold problem and that if there was it had nothing to do with the bathroom fan that he had been asked to fix years ago.

After that I lived in a rental car for around 7 months, using that for work. Then I lost that rental when I needed to replace my ID and the in-app validator wouldn't accept temporary IDs. I've been doing animal care and looking for more solid work since then. Unfortunately my experience is all in the service industry where it is especially now particularly difficult for trans women to get hired in. I've had luck with two seasons of haunt and random gigs but nothing solid.

I've staying in the cheapest hostel I can find and I need help staying in here as I keep applying. A share or reply helps if you cannot give, and both are greatly appreciated.
