Hi there, I’m a transgender student in Los Angeles, and I’m currently between living situations. I’ve been crashing on couches since the 1st of February.

Due to some complications with my gender/name change, Transunion and Equifax think I have no credit; meaning, I am unable to get a landlord to approve my credit until this gets resolved. Today (2/3/26), I submitted the paperwork required to change my name at the credit bureaus. I’m simply waiting for my information to be updated so I can apply and get approved.

I have a cat, and I’d like to get us into a motel. I found one that’s cheap and close to work. I would appreciate any help towards my boarding until I’m able to get back on my feet again.
