Hi, my name is Lennox . I’m a transgender and queer student living in Long Beach, California, and I’m currently at risk of homelessness.
I attend Paul Mitchell The School Costa Mesa full-time and work as much as I can, but the cost of living has made it impossible for me to afford housing. I cover all of my basic expenses on my own, including car payments, insurance, gas, and groceries. I receive SNAP benefits and Medi-Cal, but even with this assistance, I still can’t afford housing. I don’t have financial or housing support from family, and my car is my only way to get to school and work. After covering those essentials, there’s nothing left for rent.
I’m not necessarily looking for my own apartment—even a rented room or shared space would make a huge difference. I just need something stable and safe so I can continue school and keep working. As a trans and queer person, having secure and affirming housing is especially important. I’m asking for housing assistance through my graduation in June 2026, so I can finish school and build a stable future. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser still helps more than you know.
Thank you for your support.
