This message comes directly from her mom, who is reaching out with love and hope, asking for support in any way possible. “I’m reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times in my life. I am a survivor of domestic violence and am currently in an ongoing court battle with my husband. I have been granted a permanent restraining order for my safety, but despite this, he continues to violate these protections and pursue retaliatory legal actions against me. He is now using litigation as a form of abuse, filing actions intended to discredit the abuse I have endured and forcing me back into court again and again. As a result, I have had to repeatedly defend myself and will likely have to continue doing so.

I’ve now reached a critical point. Without proper legal representation, I risk losing the protections in place that have helped keep me and my children safe. Navigating the legal system alone, especially against someone who continues to challenge and disregard court orders, puts me at a serious disadvantage and at risk once again. Due to the financial strain caused by this situation, I cannot afford the legal support I need. I am asking for community help to cover attorney fees so I can defend my rights, uphold the restraining order, and move forward toward safety without fear.
