Hi, my name is Katie, and I never imagined I'd be in a position where I'd need to ask for help like this.

Eight years ago, I barely escaped an abusive relationship that left me emotionally shattered—and financially buried in debt due to my abuser. I left with nothing but my child and the determination to survive. There is a restraining order in place against my abuser (my son's father) to help keep us safe. Since then, I’ve been working tirelessly as a single mom to rebuild our lives, slowly paying down the debt left behind and trying to create a stable future for us.

But the weight of it all—physically, emotionally, and financially—has caught up to me.

I struggle daily with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Some days I can push through. Other days, panic attacks and heart palpitations become so intense I physically can’t leave the house, let alone work. The stress of always being “on,” always trying to survive, has left me burnt out and barely holding it together.

Despite everything, I’ve managed to make a dent in the debt on my own. But I’ve hit a wall and I need help.

Why I’m Asking for help:

This would allow me to:

Finally catch up on bills that are constantly hanging over me

Pay off remaining debt that keeps me stuck in survival mode

Create breathing room to take care of my mental health without risking eviction or going hungry

Provide a safe, stable home for me and my child as I continue to heal
