Hello all-

Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a very private person and rarely make use of social media of any kind (as a matter of fact, this is probably the 3rd post of my life lol). Therefore, I hope it goes without saying that this post’s intent has nothing to do with me, but to help out a close family friend that has been dealt a pretty bad hand as of late and I wanted to do anything I could to try to soften the blows/make life just a little easier if possible.

To start, this is a proud, hardworking, God-fearing, all-American (Livingston County) family who are certainly too proud to ask anyone for help. So, I’m giving facts while trying to do my best to keep their names/identity anonymous…agree or not, I couldn’t sit idle and not try to provide a little support for a family who would truly give the shirts off their backs to help a total stranger. That being said, I will give a brief synopsis of their hardships while trying my best to preserve their identity.

In the past 3 months, this family of six (mom, dad, and 4 kids ages ranging from 10-19) all run a family business in the animal/farm/agricultural industry and have endured the following:

1.) Teenage son being in an accident he was lucky to walk away from; although I use that term loosely because if he can walk normally again it won’t be for at least 6 months (working and at such a young age had just started a business plan to branch out on his own in the industry - a job/career that is physically demanding every day. Doctors told him if he wasn’t so young and in such good shape his foot would have no doubt been amputated.)

2.) One of their herds (raising different animals is a huge source of income for this family) has contracted a rare disease that is spreading and killing them off one by one.

3.) Mom has lost both parents within the last year.

And to cap it off, with all this going on and more, their FATHER has chosen to walk away from his struggling family, leaving them alone in this battle.

I’ve TRULY never met a better group of respectful, hardworking, polite kids who embody everything it means to be a God-fearing all-American family; a trait that they were blessed to inherit from their mother, the definition of a strong, independent woman.

Anything you can afford to donate (even if it’s just a kind word or prayer) will go directly to the family and hopefully help them get back on their feet; especially while their son heals from his serious injuries from a hospital bed.
