I'm trying to rebuild my life from the ground up, while making sure my little girl has the stability and security she deserves.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this.
For years, I thought I was building a future with the person I loved. We had a home, a family and a young daughter. I was her stay-at-home dad, and looking after her was my full-time job. Being her dad wasn't a role I fitted around other commitments. It was my everyday life.
Then everything changed.
The breakdown of my relationship turned the life I'd known upside down. The future I thought I was working towards disappeared, and I was left trying to process what had happened while making difficult decisions about what came next.
One moment, you believe you know what your life looks like. The next, you're trying to work out where you'll live, how you'll manage financially, and how to guide the child you love more than anything through an uncertain time.
And you don't get to stop and fall apart. You still have to be a dad.
MY DAUGHTER COMES FIRST
Before the separation, I was my daughter's full-time carer at home. I was there for every routine, every ordinary moment and all the countless little things that make up a young child's world. I want to keep being a consistent, loving and present father.
I want her to have stability, a safe place to call home and the reassurance that both parents remain part of her life.
Important decisions lie ahead about parenting arrangements. I need proper legal advice so I can understand my options and approach everything in a way that puts her first.
WHERE THINGS STAND
My current living arrangement is temporary and can't continue long term. Finding a home of our own, with a proper space for my daughter, is the most urgent step.
Because I was at home caring for my daughter, I don't have an employment income or recent work history to fall back on. I'm applying for financial support and looking for work that fits around caring for her, so finding it will take time.
WHY I NEED HELP
I'm asking for help to raise £6,000. It would go towards:
- Legal consultations about my daughter's future: £1,500
- Housing deposit and moving costs: £2,500
- Essential living expenses while I get back on my feet: £2,000
I'm not looking for an easy way out, and I don't expect strangers to fix my life for me. I'm trying to get through an exceptionally difficult period and lay the foundations to move forward.
Asking for help doesn't come naturally to me. But sometimes circumstances force you to put your pride aside and accept that a little support can make a real difference.
A FRESH START
I'm keeping the details of my family's situation private to protect my daughter. I won't be sharing identifying details about her or turning a deeply personal matter into a public dispute.
What I can say is that I'm a father finding his feet after a life-changing separation. I want to handle it responsibly, get the right advice, establish a stable home and keep doing what matters most: being there for my daughter.
If you can contribute, every donation helps me take another step towards that stability. If you can't, sharing this page would also mean a great deal.
I know many people are facing difficult circumstances, and I don't take anyone's generosity for granted.
Thank you for reading this, and for helping me begin to rebuild a life that has changed almost beyond recognition.
I'm trying to turn a devastating ending into a stable new beginning for me and my little girl. Any help getting there is genuinely appreciated.
