My name is Dima, living in Sweden and I’m helping my sweet friend Nariman and her two small nephews to escape the hell in Gaza and to relocate to Egypt. I got to know Nariman many years ago on social media because she always cared about human rights issues and despite surviving all other wars on Gaza, this is the first time she’s asked for help. Please read below Nariman’s story.
Nariman and her family remain in northern Gaza, surviving the genocide by sheer miracle. ❤️
The limited aid and food available are nowhere near enough to meet their needs, and prices for essentials are extremely high. The funding is supposed to help them also leave the strip when borders open and we hope for a ceasefire soon. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has donated to their campaign so far. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
If you’re able to support further- whether through another donation or simply sharing the campaign link- it would make a tremendous difference for them during this unimaginable time.
We need to fundraise $25 000 because that’s what they demand of them at the Egyptian border. Everything will go directly to Nariman’s family, no matter size of donations without any exception.
Please, help them survive!
If you have a spare or if you can donate the cost of a coffee, please keep Nariman and her family in mind. Every little contribution matters ☮️
In Nariman’s own words:
I'm Nariman Abu Warda, an accounting manager from North Gaza.
I have my only brother, Khaled, married to Hala, and his two kids, Bahaa, who is 13 and Ahmed, who is 9( my lovely family).
Last year, I succeeded in reaching the Chevening scholarship interview, but unfortunately, I didn’t manage to have the scholarship; this year, I was supposed to attend the scholarship again, but the war prevented me from attending.
I dreamed of getting my master's degree in accounting and finance from a UK university to build my own business upon my return to Gaza that will benefit society by giving back to the Palestinian community. But My dream vanished before it came.
Since the war began, my family and I have been displaced several times in an attempt to escape the indiscriminate bombing and genocide that occur every day in Gaza. We are still in the north; We have not had any chance to move to the south as the others did. Here in the land of North Gaza, the situation gets more complicated and scarier not only because of war but also due to the scarcity of food, so some children have already died because of this.
What is happening to us surpasses any imaginable horror. I may not be able to express the horrors of this war in words fully. Still, you can witness everything that is happening on the screens, including destruction, displacement, starvation and extermination.
Starting this campaign was tough, but what my family and I faced daily drove me to ask for your help. I lost my job, my dreams, and many of my neighbours and relatives, and I don't want to lose my family. The most important thing is that watching my nephews Bahaa and Ahmed suffering from this war and food scarcity, they deserve to live a safe and normal life as any child in this world. I want to get them out of this danger. I want my family and I to be safe.
Life in Gaza has become impossible. So I ask for your support and help to start a new life with my family, free from wars. I do not want to lose my only family. The only way out is to pay a lot of money to the border authorities to let us leave.
Your assistance means building a new life for us so that we can live because we deserve a decent life, and we deserve to move towards hope despite everything.
