Help A Single Mother Battling Bladder Cancer

Hi, my name is Melissa Barrett-Desimone, I am Jeanette Martinez's sister. I am starting this go fund page on behalf of my sister who was diagnosed with bladder cancer on March 7, 2023. Our lives have been a struggle since childhood, but my older sister has always believed in working hard to succeed and providing her children with a better life, and opportunities. I have watched my sister overcome so many obstacles life has thrown her way, and while she overcomes this one she needs a little help. The day my sister became a dental hygienist was one of her proudest moments, she finally felt she had made it, and we know she did as well.

She loves helping her community and has enjoyed volunteering with Team Smiles.

She has worked so hard in her profession, and personal life as well. She is a Christian woman of faith, and one of the strongest people I know. As she battles this bladder cancer she is unable to work and needs a helping hand, I know she will pay it forward in the future because her heart is that big. She has already had a mass removed, but cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and will be starting chemo the first week of April 2023. The medical plans for the very near future involve the removal of her bladder, and as she walks this new journey she will need all the help she can get to continue to provide for her children, and herself.
