Help a Single Mom Rebuild After 2 Car Accidents in One Month

Hi, my name is Marni, and I never imagined I’d be in a place where I’d have to ask for help like this—but here I am, humbly reaching out to my community in a time of great need.

Within the span of just a few weeks, both of our family vehicles were involved in serious accidents—neither of which were our fault—and now neither is drivable. One has already been declared a total loss, and we’re still waiting on insurance to determine the fate of the second.

In the first accident, two of my daughters were t-boned at high speed while driving our truck. Thankfully, they walked away, but the truck was completely totaled. The driver who hit them was uninsured, and there have been no consequences for them—leaving us to absorb all the costs. In the second incident, my son was driving our car when a truck towing a vehicle lost a tire, which struck the driver’s side of our car. That car is also likely totaled.

We’re now without transportation, and three of us including myself, need to get to work at different locations. Uber and rideshare services aren’t sustainable option, and renting a car is simply beyond reach financially .

I’m a recent single mom, having left a financially abusive relationship, and I’m now working two jobs to rebuild our lives and create a safe, stable home for my kids. I’ve survived a long and difficult battle with a serious medical condition, and though I continue to push forward every day, the financial abuse left my credit severely damaged making it even harder to move ahead.

I’m asking for help to purchase reliable vehicles that can safely get us to work, school, and medical appointments. This would cover the cost of a dependable car, insurance, taxes, and urgent related expenses.

We’re doing everything we can—but we’ve hit a wall, and I’m praying for a lifeline.
