Hi! Thank you for taking an interest in my campaign.
As the winter months approach I am no longer able to wait for a car. I have been holding off since May when my car broke down and I didn't have the funds to repair it. I got by for a while walking around town, borrowing cars and car service for emergencies, all while hoping my situation will straighten itself out.
I am a single mother, I have 6 children. I walked out of an abusive marriage last September leaving everything behind after an eviction set up and was granted custody of my kids. I faced homelessness and struggled to create a lift for my children from the ground up. I am happy to say that one year later we are doing ok, B''H.
However with court expenses rising, a messy custody battle, no settlement in the near future and no support from my soon to be ex, I am left no choice but to reach out for help. I desperately need a car, it is far from a luxury at this point.
My daughters (ages 11 and 7) currently walk to school which is almost a mile each way. They have been getting rides here and there but have been walking mainly since my Toyota Sienna (2000) broke down at the end of April and I didn't have the funds for repair. I as well need a car to get to and from work which is also about a mile each way in the opposite direction.
I can't let my kids walk to school in the cold. Everything is a struggle without a car. Shopping, appointments, carpool, court, just the day to day struggle of not being able to do what needs to be done because we have no way to get around. Public transportation is expensive as well with so many people coming along.
I really need your help. This would drastically take off the pressure I am under. It will give me a sense of freedom once again to do what I need for my kids, I will do whatever it takes to give them a healthy upbringing and a fair chance at a bright future. I appreciate whatever help you can give.
Also if anyone has a car to donate I can get you a tax deduction. I also have people who can vouch that this is legit.
