Hi, my name is Haley Deguzman. I’m a 27-year-old single mother of two little girls, ages 2 and 4, who mean everything to me.
In March, we were unexpectedly asked to leave the home we had been living in with their grandmother due to family conflict. I had lived there for two years, helped pay rent, covered bills like internet, and built our life there—so losing that stability has been incredibly hard on us.
Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to keep my daughters safe and sheltered. I used my CalWORKs assistance to stay at a Motel 6 for the first part of last month, and my tax refund to cover the rest. Now, I’ve used the last of my money to pay for this current week, and we have to check out tomorrow at 11 a.m. with nowhere else to go.
I’m asking for any help during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, will go toward keeping a roof over my daughters’ heads while I work to get us back on our feet and into stable housing.
If you’re unable to donate, even sharing this would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for your time, kindness, and support. ❤️
