Help a single, displaced Mom get a working car
Donation protected
Gabrielle (they/she) is a single, queer, multiracial, mother who has faced a series of seemingly impossible challenges in 2023. In May, she was very suddenly displaced from her stable income and housing in Oregon and left in WA state; her home state but one in which she’s not currently a resident. Furthermore, in Seattle that same month, her soon-to-be 3 year old son was withheld from her, a heartbreak to any parent let alone one fleeing domestic violence.
Living primarily out of her car since that event, this asset of hers has been essential for her survival, recovery, and any form of livelihood. Sadly, yesterday Gabrielle’s car was totaled. Not only is she facing the terrifying stress of securing housing for her son and herself, she now has lost the essential means to reaching this goal.
If you have the capacity to spare, please donate to our modest goal of 5K to get Gabrielle a working vehicle and continue the difficult process ahead. We are lucky she is not seriously injured but is suffering from a concussion, bruising, scrapes, without WA health insurance, let alone the escalated trauma. Anything is sincerely appreciated including the community love and help.
Let’s show Gabrielle that she is not alone in this fight.
