This gofundme is for a friend and neighbor, Beverly. Her car needs repair (starter, battery, or most likely alternator) and as you can see from the second photo, it probably also has a radiator leak. It's a 2009 Nissan Versa, and googling an alternator repair tells me it can be up to almost $1,000. She isn't in a financial position to have it fixed, and would appreciate some help. Her husband is in a nursing home and she goes to visit him once a week, using our local aging council bus so she can take her electric wheelchair. (His room is too far away from the entrance for her to use her walker.) But she would love to keep what independence she still has with her car so she can continue to do her own errands and shopping. Any funds raised, if too little to allow for the car repair, will be used to allow her to go see her husband more often. And if the amount raised happens to go over the cost of the car repair, she would still use the funds to see her husband and buy gas. Thanks so much for considering helping a wonderful lady.
