Help My Niece Heal: Support a Single Mom Through Surgery & Recovery

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing niece, a strong, loving, and hardworking single mom of three—including an adult son with special needs—who is now facing a serious health challenge. At 40 years old, she’s in urgent need of a hysterectomy and will be unable to work during the six-week recovery period.

She’s a self-employed massage therapist whose work is incredibly physical. Unfortunately, while she does have medical insurance, it doesn’t cover everything. Between medical copays and everyday living expenses—rent for both her home and her small business, groceries, utilities, insurance, and basic necessities—the financial strain is overwhelming.

As a single parent with no other source of income, this surgery means six weeks without a paycheck. No paid leave. No backup plan.

I’m hoping to raise $10,000 to help her cover:

Medical copays and out-of-pocket costs

Rent (home and business)

Food and basic living expenses

Utility and insurance bills

She has always been the kind of person to give generously to others—through her healing work and in her community. Now she needs our support.
