There are moments in life when someone does everything right… and still finds themselves in an impossible situation.

I’m writing this on behalf of a woman very close to me — someone I deeply admire for her strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her children. For privacy and dignity, I won’t share her name, but her story deserves to be heard.

She is a devoted mother of three — two daughters and a son — who has spent over 25 years in a difficult and, at times, abusive marriage. Despite years of emotional and financial hardship, she remained committed to keeping her family together and protecting her children.

Over the past two years, her situation has taken a devastating turn.

Her husband, who controlled all finances, cut off all support during conflicts, leaving her and the children without stability. Eventually, he sold their shared assets and left the country, abandoning all financial responsibility.

She pursued her rights through the legal system, hoping for fairness. Despite her efforts, she was left with nothing — while he had the resources to hire multiple lawyers and walk away without accountability.

Since then, she has been carrying everything alone.

She pays for rent, covers all household expenses, and fully supports her children — including her youngest daughter’s education, which was legally the father’s responsibility. Not a single payment has been made.

Earlier this year, she finally found a job and began rebuilding her life. But just as things were starting to stabilize, she was laid off due to company-wide cuts due of the ongoing conflicts in the middle east . With that, she now faces the loss of her residency and the very real risk of having to leave the country.

Her greatest fear is for her youngest daughter.

She is a hardworking, bright student in her final years of school, ranked among the top in her class. Being forced to leave now would disrupt her education and jeopardize her future opportunities — something no child should have to endure because of circumstances beyond her control.

This fundraiser is to help this family stay afloat during this critical time — to cover essential living costs, school fees, and give them a chance to regain stability and dignity.
