A refugee who’s detained by ICE in northern Minnesota is fighting his deportation case by applying for a green card. But to be eligible for his green card, the Trump administration first requires this man to get a medical exam that costs $2,000, on top of many other costs. He has no money to pay for the medical exam, so I’m helping him raise money for it.

Paying for the medical exam means this man will be one step closer to getting his green card. And if he gets his green card, his deportation proceedings will end, he'll get out of detention, he’ll have a safer and stabler life, and he’ll have a path to citizenship. It’s a chance at a new life for him, and it’s a chance for all of us to stand up to our government’s cruel treatment of immigrants.
