Help a Pregnant Teenage Mom Get Funds for Housing

Prior to me explaining my situation I would like to say thank you to everyone who chooses to support me in any way. Whether it'd be donating, sharing, or leaving nice and compassionate words with me.

I am a Black 18-year-old teenage pregnant Mom who is currently 36 weeks pregnant. As of right now, I do not have a permanent place to stay for me and my baby that is soon to be born in just a few weeks.

During this time, I am supposed to be supported by the state but my current caseworker has been fired. As a result, my supervisor has not been reaching out to me as they should be, leaving me in a spot where I am unsure of what I can do and where I can go. This situation has been very difficult, stressful and leaving me worrisome because it is so important that I have a plan and place for me to stay as my baby grows. In the midst of this, the baby's Grandmother offered to only take the baby into her household, leaving me without my child. Not only is this unfair to both me and my baby, but it is not what I want for us. I want to be there as my child grows in the most vital stages of life and cannot imagine my baby living and growing without me and vice versa.

So, now it is up to me to find secure housing and make sure I am able to take care of my newborn baby and hopefully this is where I can get support from communities. In the next few weeks as I get ready for my baby to be born I would like to rent an airbnb and hopefully get some other items for the baby such as a bassinet, a baby swing, and any other items that would help me any further as the baby gets older.
