My name is Anna, and I am a Girlguiding leader and a paramedic with the East of England Ambulance Service, based in Peterborough. This summer, I have been selected to take 8 young members from Guides units across the East of England on a two-week volunteering project to Cambodia.

We will be working in a local school, supporting early childhood education through informal teaching, reading, arts and crafts, and hygiene education. Alongside this, we’ll take part in a community building project, renovating classrooms by painting, building desks, and improving learning spaces to create a safer, more welcoming environment for children.

This experience will help the girls develop confidence, leadership, teamwork, and global awareness, while making a real difference to a school community in Cambodia.

Our fundraising target is £3,500, which will help cover travel, accommodation, and project materials. Every donation, no matter the size, is hugely appreciated — and sharing this page makes a big difference too.
