Hi, my name is Sam. I'm reaching out to the community on behalf of an anonymous man I met recently who lives in the Trenton area. We met while I was pumping gas, and he politely asked if I could fill up his gas can. I proceeded to fill his little 1-gallon tank and asked if he needed a ride to where he was going.

I ended up giving him a ride "home," which was a broken-down campsite just off the island. I gave him the water in my car and a banana I had on hand. (He ate it immediately... obviously hungry.) I've been trying to find the time to bring him some dog food and food for himself. Today I will.

I set a pretty high goal, but anything helps. I'd like to see if I can get him enough gas to last the winter for his generators and a water supply. Given the harsh conditions of Maine winters, I felt I had to do something. No one deserves to have to suffer. ALL THE THANKS!!
