Minha irmã Mariana é mãe de Olivia, de 6 anos, e atualmente trabalha como educadora infantil.

Aqui está um pouco sobre sua história que ela gostaria de compartilhar.

Meu nome é Mariana, tenho 34 anos e moro na Austrália desde 2012. Em 2018, dei à luz minha filha, Olivia. Durante minha gravidez, sofri abuso do meu ex-marido; físico, emocional e financeiro. A equipe do hospital onde Olívia nasceu e os assistentes sociais me ajudaram a sair dessa situação. Vivi mais de dois anos em um centro de refúgio para mulheres que estavam desabrigadas devido à violência doméstica. De lá, cuidei de Olivia e estudei novamente, para dar a ela uma vida melhor. Depois de todo o meu trabalho duro, consegui deixar o refúgio e alugar um lugar para Olivia e eu morarmos.

Durante esse tempo, ainda dei a chance ao pai dela de fazer parte da vida dela porque era direito da minha filha conhecer o pai. No entanto, já faz 6 anos que o pai não demonstrou interesse em se envolver. Ligações promissoras que nunca foram feitas. Muitas vezes ele desaparece e depois de alguns meses volta pedindo para vê-la. Ele nunca ajudou com as despesas de alimentação, roupas, educação ou atividades dela.

Desde que Olivia nasceu, ela está sob meus cuidados 100%. Este ano, decidi iniciar um processo na justiça. Estou tentando proteger minha filha sem tirar nenhum direito dela.

Não consigo assistência juridica gratuita e não posso pagar um advogado particular. Meu ex-marido conseguiu um advogado para se representar gratuitamente, por meio de assistência jurídica. Tive várias consultas com diferentes advogados e, no momento, gastei cerca de AUD$ 5.000 em honorários advocatícios. O custo estimado de todo o processo é de AUD$ 90.000,00

Por favor, ajude-me a obter assistência para obter representação legal.

My Sister Mariana, is a Mother to 6 year old Olivia and she currently works as an Early Childhood Educator.

At the moment she is in a process of court orders against her ex-husband because of his neglect towards Olivia. She can't get assistance for free legal aid and she can’t afford a private lawyer. Her ex-husband got a lawyer to represent himself for free, via legal aid. Mariana has had several consultations with different lawyers and at present, has spent around $5000 in legal fees. The estimate cost of the whole process is AUD $90,000.00

Here is a little bit about her history that she would like to share.

My name is Mariana, I am 34 years old and I have been living in Australia since 2012. In 2018 I gave birth to my daughter, Olivia. During my pregnancy I suffered abuse from my ex-husband; physical, emotional, and financial. Hospital staff where Olivia was born, and the Social Workers helped me leave that situation. I lived more than two years in a Refuge Centre for women that were homeless due to domestic violence. From there I looked after Olivia and studied again, to give her a better life. After all my hard work, I was able to leave the refuge and rent a place for Olivia and I to live.

During this time, I still gave her father a chance to be part of her life because it was my daughter's right to know her father. However, it has been 6 years where the father has not shown an interest to be involved. Promising calls that have never been made. Many times he disappears and after a few months comes back asking to see her. He has never assisted with expenses towards her food, clothes, education or activities.

My family is from Brazil and my daughter has a strong connection with them. Currently, we cannot visit Brazil without his authorisation, as he will need to sign for her passport. This is something he is not willing to do. Olivia has the right to see her Brazilian family that loves her so much.

Since Olivia was born, she has been under my care 100%. I am trying to protect my daughter without taking any rights away from her.

Please help me to get the assistance to gain legal representation.

After this process, any additional funds received will be donated to Catholic Care Waitara Family Centre, who gave me assistance and a safe place to stay until I could get back on track with my life.
