Hello my friends,

These are some dark and difficut times for so many people that I know and love, so please believe that I wouldn't be here asking for your help unless it were absolutely essential. I am calling upon your generous hearts to move some mountains and help to heal the woman who has given me the most in this life.

Not so very long ago, my mother had surgery on her shoulder. In the days following this surgery, she lost her balance at home and fell, shattering her humerus bone all the way up into that very same shoulder. It required an immediate additional surgery. This has created for her a great many problems, in addition to the many challenges she already faces.

She already had issues with mobility, and lifelong pain from her Lupus, but the severe pain of this recent accident has been incredibly limiting. She is finding it difficult to care for herself in simple ways. Bathing and preparing food have become nearly insurmountable tasks. She is rapidly losing weight, with declining health, and she is in very low spirits. Because she lives alone and in a different city, it is very difficult for me to assist her.

I am hoping to raise enough funds to pay for a meal delivery service, as well as temporary hospice assistance to get her through this difficult period. My sole aim is for my mother to have a comfortable and restful holiday.
