My name is Hiba. Right now, my two sons, 15 and 16 years old, are in Lebanon while I am thousands of miles away in the United States, trying to bring them to safety during a time of war and instability in the region.
Every day we speak, they ask me the same question: “Mama, when can we come and be with you?”
As a mother, it is heartbreaking to know my children are growing up in a place affected by conflict while I cannot be there to protect them. My greatest hope is to reunite with them here in the United States so we can finally live together in safety and peace.
I have already applied for my Adjustment of Status in the United States, but until my work authorization is approved in the coming months, I am not legally allowed to work or earn income.
Before leaving Lebanon, I sold my car and was able to save $3,000 toward the immigration costs needed to bring my boys and our cat to the United States. I still need about $4,000 more to complete the process and bring them here as soon as possible.
Any support, no matter the amount, will go directly toward immigration expenses to reunite our family. Even sharing this page would mean so much.
My dream is simple: the day I can finally meet my sons at the airport, hug them again, and bring them home.
Thank you for helping a mother bring her children to safety.
