I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help on behalf of my beloved aunt, Shaheen Bano, a 55-year-old mother who has recently been diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma of Mullerian origin — an aggressive form of ovarian cancer that has spread in her abdominal region. She is a remarkable woman who has always been the calmest presence in our family, offering wisdom and support to everyone around her.

My aunt is not just a family member; she is a pillar of strength. Her unwavering faith and pious nature have inspired us all. Throughout her life, she has been a great listener, always ready to lend an ear and offer valuable advice. Her nurturing spirit extends beyond her immediate family; she has devoted herself to caring for my maternal grandmother, who is now 80 years old and lives with her. Despite having been divorced for the last 20 years, Shaheen has raised three sons all alone, and they work tirelessly to make ends meet. Currently, their earnings are hand to mouth, yet they are doing their utmost to support her cancer treatment.

She comes from a humble background and is currently undergoing urgent medical evaluations, with further treatment involving surgery and chemotherapy. The costs are overwhelming, and unfortunately, our family is struggling to afford the necessary care. We are doing everything we can, but we need your support now more than ever.

Shaheen has undergone medical evaluation in order to begin treatment in Mumbai, India, and treatment plans have been drawn. All medical reports are available for verification, and the medical bills will also be shared with all donors. Based on the available medical evaluation, the total treatment and related medical costs are estimated to be USD $24,000 (INR 20,00,000). Between my family and I, we hope to cover half of this cost, i.e., USD $12,000. Thus, we urgently need your support to raise the other half, i.e., USD $12,000, to fund her ovarian cancer treatment and recovery.
