My heart is breaking, and I need to do something. My dear friend, a survivor of unimaginable domestic violence, is still living her nightmare to this day. After finally escaping her abuser in 2021 after 14 years of control and terror, fleeing death threats against both her and her daughter, she is now trapped in a legal battle against that very abuser, who now manipulates the broken legal system to wage his evil war. Her little girl, the very reason my friend found the strength to survive at all and finally escape, is now trapped in a devastating, unjust legal battle, forced to endure the same pain my friend lived through all those years ago.

The abuse didn't end with her escape. It transformed into a relentless and calculated campaign of post-litigation abuse designed to utterly destroy her, try to steal her daughter away from her, and leave her penniless. A neutral court-appointed psychologist validated the years of horrific abuse, diagnosed the Father with severe psychological and psychiatric disorders, confirmed the threats to murder the Mother and child and deemed the Father dangerous and that he not have any unsupervised time with the child for a minimum of 18 months and after 18 months unsupervised visits would be fully contingent on treatment success - to date he has not completed a single day of treatment. This was bolstered by dozens of videos of the abuse - described by the Judge as the worst videos of Domestic Violence ever brought before the court. Yet after three and half years of a mere few hours of weekly minimal visitation with the Father every shred of evidence including threats of murder suicide were all ignored and the Father was granted shared custody. And even now, every instance of her daughter’s own voice and cries of abuse, is ignored and silenced. It's as if her cries for help, her daughter's cries for help, mean nothing to our family court system.

While the father systematically emptied their accounts, leaving her utterly penniless, she’s survived on the kindness of others providing loans to support her every day in any way possible. But those resources are completely exhausted. His vicious lies have destroyed her reputation and her business. He has attacked not just her finances, but every way she can defend herself. He's not just trying to harm her daughter; he's trying to erase her existence.

The father has long-demonstrated a dark fixation on the complete destruction of my friend, destroying her reputation, her business, her livelihood, and worse her daughter. He will stop at nothing to enact the punishment he promised and remain to have access to continue to abuse his victims. Just last year he enacted one of his many plans and accused his ex-wife of kidnapping her own daughter while she was away at Disney World, claiming she was mentally unwell and even armed and dangerous - she was neither, and he knew this. He lied to the Police, to the court, to the media and remains to take full advantage of a court system that empowers abusers and never holds them accountable for their lies. He used this fake kidnapping scheme to once again try to take custody away from my friend. He failed but shared custody followed. And after more than three and half years this little girl was suddenly placed on an unsupervised shared custody schedule in the hands of her abuser and the person who tried to kill her and her Mother with no safety net in place. Enough is enough, and she needs our help to finally break free of this cycle of abuse that will never end until this case is appealed and brought to a higher court.

For nearly four agonizing years, she's fought a system that has repeatedly failed her and her daughter, but I have seen and know that those who know her story will always stand beside her. The world will stand beside her against the abuse, the lies, and the manipulations. She’s fighting for her daughter's life, a little girl who has already suffered abuse and neglect under his care. This level of injustice cannot be allowed to stand.

I’m writing this now because they face a critical deadline. One final, time-sensitive appeal is their absolute last chance to bring the abuses of the father and the court to light.
