Help a Mother and Her Children in the Alpujarras Move Into Warm, Stable Housing This Winter
A mother and her children in our valley in the Alpujarras are currently living in conditions that have become unsafe as winter approaches. Their accommodation has become damp, cold and unstable.
Despite working hard to stay afloat, finding secure housing in the current climate has been incredibly difficult. A group of us in the community have come together to support them — not out of charity, but out of genuine care and the belief that every family deserves warmth, stability and dignity.
What We’re Raising Funds For
Our aim is to help this family move into a warm, dry, stable temporary home by purchasing a reliable second-hand caravan. This will give them immediate safety while longer-term housing can be arranged.
Funds will go directly toward:
Purchasing a second-hand caravan
Transport and safe delivery
Levelling, securing, and basic setup (electrics, gas, etc.)
Essential repairs, insulation, and heating
A compost toilet, urgently needed for safe sanitation
Winter essentials to create a warm, dignified space
This will give the family:
- warmth
- privacy
- a stable place to sleep
- safety
- room to breathe and rebuild
Every Contribution Helps
Whether it’s a larger donation or simply the cost of a hot drink, every single contribution is gratefully received and makes a real, immediate difference.
Even the smallest amount helps this family move one step closer to safety.
