Help a mom/navy veteran with deposit for apartment

Donation protected
One of our neighbors is a veteran and single mom and needs our help. Amanda Green tells her story below and I have set up this fund to hopefully help her gather enough for a security deposit for an apartment. She did not ask for this to be set up for her. Rather, a group of us neighbors felt it to be the best way to provide help.

"Help with TEMPORARY housing
I’m a single mother/Navy Veteran/Medical Assistant with two school aged children who is getting back on her feet. Recently moved out of our apartment to find that the new landlord rented our house to someone who could pay even more... Currently driving for Lyft, while seeking full time employment, plus receiving other monthly income. I’m a former Fitness Nutritionist and current Personal Trainer with reliable transportation. This could be the perfect barter opportunity. The housing shelters are full and wait lists are 6-9 months long (already applied). With the holidays coming I’m pretty much in a panic. Already on waitlist for HUD, which 5-7 years long. No one seems to wants to rent a room to a single mom and I’m stuck here in San Diego for the time being. Seeking a granny flat, apartment, condo, something from someone who is willing to work with my current circumstances. Please help! Any suggestions, options welcome. Thank you in advance."
