Hi, my name is Tren, and I am a mother doing everything I can to protect and provide for my children and our dog, Lily.

Right now, my children, Lily, and I are experiencing homelessness. Despite reaching out to multiple resources and organizations, we have received very little help, and we are struggling to meet even our most basic needs. There are nights when we don’t know where we will sleep, and the uncertainty has been overwhelming—especially for my children. After a year of being out of work.

I am actively working toward stability. I have employment lined up and I am doing everything in my power to secure housing, but the upfront costs—temporary lodging, deposits, application fees, food, gas, and basic necessities—have made this incredibly difficult to manage on my own.

Lily is more than just our dog; she is family and a source of comfort for my children during this scary time. Keeping her with us has limited our shelter options, but we cannot imagine abandoning her when she brings so much emotional support to our family.

I am asking for help not because it’s easy, but because my children deserve safety, warmth, and stability.
