Help a Mom, helping her son get over the hump!

I'm asking for help to help my son. I know it's probably rather odd thing to do here but I've done all I can do financially, short of selling my car, which is impractical. I live on a fixed income of a grand total of $1400 per month, it doesn't go far.

The story begins in late January when he was blindsided with a divorce after over 15 years of marriage. Unfortunately, he also lost his job because he was in business with her parents and they closed the business. So in one day, he was without his home, family, and job. Eventually with some family and friends help he managed to keep his car and a few personal belongings.
He then got a job that was not sufficient to cover the expenses for an attorney, so he went at it alone, not a good outcome to say the least. Eventually he got a much better job, however part-time, and a 2.5 hour drive one way, every few days but, getting on his feet, sort of.

He eventually got a fulltime with benefits position, although relocation was required before the start date. This was an issue for the part-time job he was working, so that came to an early end. In the meantime, the start date for the full-time job was pushed out two weeks, without a lot of explanation. Now he's more than short on funds. The paycheck that was to help make the move, was short due to the abrupt job end and being delayed two weeks without starting the new job, the last paycheck had to be used for payments due.
Seeing the financial struggle of my son, and myself on a fixed income, I did the only thing I could do to help, a credit card check. This got him moved into an apartment the Friday before he was to start on Monday the 7th. This past Sunday, the 6th, (day before the full-time position) he got the call that made my heart sink when we thought he was good to go; work is delayed two more weeks.... now there has been no income for nearly a month, the bills didn't stop, car payment, insurance, food, phone, etc. and the rent and utilities along with all of the other monthly bills will be due before he gets another paycheck.

Finding out the reason for the delay in the start date had to do with the "background check" glitch was they didn't get a response from a hospital he had previously worked for that closed in October 2023, was the icing on the cake. (yes, I was more than ....)

If you can see your way to help out this Mom that is just trying to get her son over the hump and started in his new life as an Emergency Room paramedic, I will be forever grateful. Thank you so much.
