Hello everyone.

I’m asking for your help for my son and his family.

If you can help monetarily or just help me to share this everywhere. Any and all help with the following situation will be much appreciated.

My son, his wife and their four children were relocated overseas by the military. 

Prior to leaving to his new station, he and his wife decided to rent out their home so they would still have a place to live upon their return from his new assignment. 

Unfortunately, during his family’s time away, and unbeknownst to him and the new tenants of the home, the water service line that was buried deep beneath the house, began to leak - causing the foundation beneath the front of the home and the garage to be washed away. This has caused the home to begin to sink in two places, the garage and also the living room. I’ve enclosed several pictures of the damage for you to see and to understand what he and his family are up against. 

Insurance does not cover this type of damage as they classify it as “special coverage for service lines” as well as “settling” which is not covered by his policy.

As a result, initial repair for just the foundation to be backfilled and lifted by jacks is going to come to a minimum of $30,700.

Due to no coverage for this unexpected disaster, his family will have to pay for this expense all out of pocket, and this does not even include the needed repair to the bricks that have separated from the exterior wall, the broken drywall, and any doors/windows and concrete repair that needs to happen.

With four kids being homeschooled in Europe, they are on one income and have been doing their best to save the money that will be needed to repair this. 

The stress is a lot as I’m sure you can imagine and what’s worse is that the additional costs are still unknown until the home has been lifted and resettled. 

This is a humble calling upon all supporters of our military service members from this mom’s heart, to please help us ease the burden of these stressful and unexpected expenses on a committed active-duty husband/father and his family. 

Apart from his commitment to his country, my son is also one of the most committed followers of Christ that I know, and he knows that all things are possible through God. We are praying that the financial burden of these repairs, while daunting for him, might be diluted to mere pocket change across thousands of loving hearts like his own.

All proceeds will go toward the existing quoted repairs with updates posted so all donors can see how well their generosity is helping. Any remaining funds after that will go toward any newly discovered expenses as the repairs progress.

 If any funds are remaining after that, we will try to request that GoFundMe return them to all donors in equal shares. If a partial refund to donors is not possible as determined by GoFundMe, then any remaining funds will be split amongst his home church, his church abroad, as well as one of his favorite charities, The Watoto Children’s Choir and Compassion International Charities.
