I reached out to an old friend and he confided in me that’s he’s been homeless for a while now. We’re both 18. Another friend of mine is looking for a housemate so I want to raise enough for a few months rent so that my old friend can stay there and have a roof over his head. I witnessed how terribly exploited he was as a child and it’s heartbreaking how common it is for abused children living in poverty to become homeless young adults. I didn’t include a picture for his privacy and because the only pictures I have of us are when we were preteens. He was dealt the unluckiest hand in life, if you help us out I’m forever grateful.
