We're Cicada and Otar, friends of Amber's who are setting this fundraiser up for her as per her request.
Amber is a Black trans woman who recently lost her home due to circumstances beyond her control. She's completely on her own in Philadelphia without support from her family or anyone else, without anywhere to stay. On top of being homeless, she suffers greatly from nerve damage and disability to the point where she is no longer able to work, and she is also going through all of this while grieving the recent loss of a close family member.
Amber is a very kind and selfless person who has worked very hard to help others all her life. She is currently doing what she can to survive day by day, but her funds are extremely low. She is in the process of applying for disability and getting set up with social security, but she needs our help to be able to continue surviving until everything finally goes through.
Since Go Fund Me publicly displays the full legal name of the person who receives the money from a fundraiser, and Amber requested that we not have that information of hers public, we are listed as who the money will go to; however, every single cent that is donated will be entirely sent to Amber for her to use for anything and everything she needs to stay afloat, such as food.
As many of us are very aware, this is an extremely dangerous time to be living in the US as anything other than a wealthy white cishet man, and even if it weren't, no one deserves to be without a home or support system. Please help in keeping a fellow human being as safe as she can possibly be. Every single cent helps, and every share means the world. Thank you so much.
