I was unjustly removed from my own home by my wife, and in the process, I lost nearly everything — my savings, my vehicle, and, most painfully, daily access to my two young children. I have a son and a daughter who mean the world to me. My son is on the autism spectrum and has special needs. From the time he was little, he naturally gravitated toward me — his father. I was his safe place, his comfort, his stability. Losing regular time with him has been incredibly hard, and I know it has been especially difficult for him as well. My daughter, too, deserves to have her father present in her life — to show up for school events, birthdays, or even just to be there when she needs a hug.
