A close friend of ours is currently going through an incredibly difficult and traumatic time. She recently experienced a life-threatening medical emergency which has been beyond stressful for all who love her. She is now beginning the very long road to recovery. Out of respect for her and her family’s wishes, we are keeping the details private — but please know that the situation is serious, and her path ahead will require rest, care, and time away from work.

We understand that not sharing the full story might lead to some scepticism and we want to acknowledge that openly. Please know that this decision comes from a place of protecting her dignity, mental health, and boundaries during a stressful and overwhelming time. Those closest to her can confirm that the situation is very real, serious, and that the support is genuinely needed.

As her friends, we’ve been asking how we can help. One clear way is supporting her in caring for her beloved dog. Just before her medical emergency, her dog was diagnosed with a condition that now requires surgery. With our friend unable to work for the foreseeable future, covering the cost of this care is simply out of reach.

We’re raising funds to ensure her dog can get the surgery and recovery support he needs, and to take one major worry off her shoulders. Anyone who knows her knows how much love she gives to the people and animals in her life — and right now, we want to return that love in a way that’s practical and meaningful. Any additional funds raised will go towards general care for her multiple dogs, and the cost of family visits (fuel, and parking) to the hospital.
